Do you need waterproof, pressure or environmental testing?
Tiller Scientific+Medical
Tiller Scientific+Medical has installed a pressure chamber that can test products up to 150 bar or approx 1500 metres depth.
We are using this chamber to test pressure integrity on a number of exciting projects. While they remain cloaked under Non Disclosure Agreements, we can report recent success in passing a repeated 400 metre test for one project.
Combined with our heat and environmental chamber which can cycle devices from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius, we are now well equipped to test our product designs and meet the strict environmental specifications that our clients need.

Design Management in Australia
Tiller Scientific+Medical
Claudia Bonifer works as the Design Director for Tiller Design and Tiller Scientific+Medical. As a well respected industry professional specialising in providing product development and product design services and solutions, Claudia contributes her viewpoint on Design Management in Australia, to the Design Management Institute.
“Australian product design consultancies are generally distinguished by their expertise in design for manufacture. Australian Product Designers excel in design engineering. In my experience, it appears to be widely accepted that Industrial Designers in Europe and North America work in sequence with Design Engineers. In Australia, Design for Manufacture and Design Engineering are well-developed skills within Industrial Design, and Product Design Consultancies use these as a key selling points for their services. In addition, the proximity to Asia and its manufacturing landscape has put Australian Industrial Designers in a unique position that required an extension of their skills into project and production management.”
